SkySecure is a FIPS-140-1 certified client-server satellite Internet VPN enabling end-to-end 3DES encryption with individual user authentication.

Unlike the VSR-30 solution, SkySecure does not support bi-directional access (It's an authenticated client-server application). Only authenticated individual satellite Internet VPN remote users are granted access to HQ resources behind the SkySecure server, via a 3DES VPN tunnel.

At the remote sites, SkySecure satellite Internet VPN clients are loaded on individual PCs. The clients register with the secure server through a secure web interface (SkySecure supports TCP/IP applications).

The SkySecure solution is available in two configurations. In one option the customer installs the software on their own server. In the more common configuration, a SG1000, SG4000, or SG5000 server is installed at the customer's headquarters or central data center. The SG1000 supports up to 25 clients, the SG4000 up to 200 clients and the SG5000 supports unlimited clients.

The secure servers support clients on the Linux, Solaris, Macintosh, Java or Windows (98-up) operating systems. The software-only version requires a Windows, Red Hat Linux or Solaris server to run.
