The VAR program offers your company an easy entry to the satellite Internet market with very little start up costs. From a technology perspective, you are not required to invest in or operate a teleport and a run a Network Operations Center. VSAT Systems will be the backbone provider and you can choose from a number of service levels you can offer to your customers. Basic experience as a technology, Internet or a networking company would be helpful to start as a VAR.
Your company would be required to bill and service the customer, provide Tier I Technical Support along with email, web hosting and other services. VSAT Systems provides the Internet connection directly to the end user. VSAT Systems will provide Tier II Tech Support and Engineering Support to your company, as well as Sales and Marketing Support.
A train-the-trainer program is provided in three separate areas-product training, technical support training and installation training. For resellers who wish to do their own installations, FCC-required installer certifications are issued to VSAT Systems installation training graduates. Technical support, product and installation training, and certification are provided on a scheduled basis in Akron, Ohio. Other training venues can be negotiated.
