Power back up

The teleport infrastructure forms the most crucial earth station link and the power back up systems keep it running at all times. Not only is our system equipped with high-tech uninterruptible power supplies, but also two self-starting, diesel fuel-powered generators. In fact, there’s enough back up here to power several homes.

UPS

Our 3 antenna systems have UPS power supplied by MGE Galaxy 4000 65KvA UPS. To add another level of assurance, we have two UPS units ensuring redundant 24x7 power availability.

Diesel powered Generators

Our UPS units are fed from an auto-transfer switch and self-start American-made Caterpillar Olympian 85kW generator that assumes power within 7 seconds of a power grid failure. We maintain 36 hours of fuel on-site with replenishment delivery priority 24/7, 365 days a year. In fact, we are such firm believers in redundancy that we have another 80kW Generac unit as a back up to our primary generator.
