Facilities prepared for the worst

In the event of an equipment failure, outage or even just scheduled maintenance, VSAT Systems offers you total peace of mind. At VSAT Systems, we take pride in being able to prevent network outages that would affect most systems. Extensive infrastructure investment having backup equipment at several levels protects our systems against unfavorable environmental conditions, power outages and complex technical failures.

Connectivity with confidence

The third 6.3 M Vertex RSI teleport antenna is a backup to our two primary antennas. All three antennas can be remotely controlled from the NOC and in case of a primary antenna failure or maintenance, the backup antenna can be repositioned towards G 28 or T11N within minutes and seamlessly take over the role of a primary antenna.

In the event of a more catastrophic failure that affects our facilities or infrastructure, VSAT Systems has access to alternate teleport facilities through our provider partners.

Multiple levels of back-up

The teleports are connected to the U.S. Internet backbone through two different Internet providers, through lines running in opposite directions. Another level of redundancy.

The power to succeed

To keep your communications running smoothly in the event of a power grid failure, our primary power distribution network and backup systems are designed to maintain continued operations at our Akron teleports. Learn more about how we keep our teleports running 24/7. Click here.
