VSAT Systems’ satellite footprint covers even the most isolated regions of North America, Central America and the Caribbean. We currently provide Ku band service through three of the world’s most premier geostationary satellites in the western hemisphere: G-28, T11N, E113WA. We are constantly adding new services and capabilities by developing relationships with the leading satellite operators; and, in the near future, we will be adding more satellites to expand our service footprint.
The G-28 satellite is located at 271E 89W longitude and provides coverage across North and South America. It carries 92 transponders with a total end-of-life power of 16 kw. The payload includes 36 Ku-band active transponders, providing coverage across North and South America. VSAT Systems provides service on the Ku band.
The North America beam is used by VSAT Systems for high end satellite Internet services to VSAT terminals in the coverage as shown. G28 is ideally suited for North American operations and for most locations, a 1.2m dish is sufficient.
Telstar 11N (T11N) is located at 37.5 deg west longitude. The satellite is solely equipped with Ku-band transponders. VSAT Systems uses the Ku-band serving North America, the Central American countries, the Caribbean and the North Atlantic Ocean. T11N is ideally suited for Central America and Caribbean locations.
The E113WA satellite is located at 113W longitude and provides coverage across North and South Americas. It carries 24 Ku-band transponders to provide voice, data and video services to South America and the continental United States.
Ku band operates at a frequency range of 10.9 to 17 GHz, much higher than the C band frequencies used by some other satellite operators. At this higher frequency, a more powerfully focused beam delivers maximum EIRP (effective isotropic radiated power) to the locations covered. Result: your customers will enjoy excellent signal strength with a smaller antenna. Their business applications will run smoothly, even in the rain, because VSAT Systems has the engineering expertise to compensate for rainfade.
In 95% of the footprint, for both these satellites, a 1.2m dish is sufficient to close the link with a VSAT Systems teleport.
Please check the maps on this page to verify that you are within the VSAT Systems coverage area.
